The House investigative committee has made public a batch of around 70 images secured from the holdings of deceased found guilty sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such release from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 photographs the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of quotes from the book Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted images of female international passports.

This action occurs hours before the December 19th deadline for the Department of Justice to disclose every documents related to its probe into Epstein.

"These photographs bring up more questions about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its custody," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photos Made Public

A number of the photos released on this week depict Epstein speaking with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates positioned next to a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon seated at a desk across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, prominent figures to be pictured in Epstein's estate photos disclosed by the House Oversight Committee - formerly disclosed images also show US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photos is not evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the photographed individuals have asserted they were never implicated in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement issued alongside the image disclosure, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not supply background information or timeframes for the pictures.

"Photographs were selected to provide the public with openness into a typical cross-section of the photos acquired from the estate, and to give perspectives into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally alarming activities," the statement says.

The disclosure also includes a number of images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in black ink across various areas of a woman's body, like her chest, lower extremity, pelvis, and rear. Lolita tells the story of a adolescent who was exploited by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the novel scrawled across a female's torso reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a series of photos of female passports and identification documents from states globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the documents, like identities and dates of birth, is censored but the panel said in a statement that the passports belong to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

An additional photo features Epstein positioned at a desk in close proximity in the company of three women whose features have been censored - one individual has her hand on Epstein's chest under his shirt, and another is crouching to look at a adjacent laptop. Epstein appears to be assisting the third put on a piece of jewelry.

An additional photo released is a image of SMS messages from an unidentified person who states they have been supplied "several females" and are requesting "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photograph Disclosure Arrives Before DOJ Cut-off

The panel has many thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "at once disturbing and everyday," its announcement on Thursday explained.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the committee are different than what is often termed "Epstein-related records". That material are documents in the Department of Justice's possession connected to its independent investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Transparency Act, which President Trump made law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its records. The full nature of the contents included in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's probable that much of the content will be heavily redacted, akin to House Oversight Committee materials
